Timeframes vary depending on the size and complexity of the project, but most standard car parks or access roads can be completed within a few days. We’ll provide a clear schedule and stick to agreed deadlines.

Tarmac is low maintenance, but we recommend regular inspections for cracks or damage, especially in high-traffic areas. Periodic sealing can extend the life of the surface and improve appearance.

Resurfacing involves laying a new layer of tarmac over an existing surface, while full reconstruction means removing the current surface and rebuilding from the sub-base up. We’ll assess your site and recommend the best approach based on condition and usage.

In most cases, resurfacing existing car parks or roadways does not require planning permission. However, if it’s a new build or involves a change of use, planning may be needed. We can advise and work with your local authority if required.

Generally, tarmac can be walked on within 24 hours and driven on after 48 hours. For heavier commercial vehicles, we may recommend a slightly longer curing period depending on weather and thickness.
